A few ways we could work together

I work with organisations on architecture, AI and technology strategy. I also coach people working towards their next role in tech. In both cases, the aim is the same: make the situation clearer and turn that clarity into useful next steps.

01 · Architecture

Architecture that works beyond the diagram

A good architecture has to survive contact with budgets, regulation, legacy systems and changing priorities. The challenge is not just drawing a target state; it’s helping people make sensible decisions now without creating bigger problems for later. I help teams set direction, understand their trade-offs and make choices they can deliver.

  • Agreeing on the target state, the steps to get there and what can wait.
  • Choosing platforms and patterns that fit the organisation’s risks, operating model and business priorities.
  • Helping architecture and delivery teams discuss trade-offs in plain language and make decisions together.

02 · AI systems

AI that solves a real problem

AI is easy to demonstrate in a pilot. Making it useful, safe and maintainable in a real organisation is harder. I help teams separate promising use cases from distractions, work through the data and governance questions, and connect experiments to outcomes they can actually measure.

  • Identifying where AI can improve the work—and where it adds little value.
  • Making responsibilities clear across data, models, human oversight and day-to-day operations.
  • Connecting AI work to the wider architecture and the business results it is meant to support.

03 · Advisory

A second perspective on the big decisions

Sometimes the difficult question isn’t which technology to buy, but what the organisation should do next. I offer focused advisory to leaders who need an independent perspective on technology strategy, capability and investment. The work is deliberately selective and shaped around the decision in front of you.

  • Advice on strategy and architecture when timelines, budgets and organisational realities all matter.
  • Thinking through modernisation and AI as ongoing business choices, not projects that magically finish.
  • Straightforward, confidential conversations with a clear purpose.

04 · Career coaching

Get ready for your next role in tech

I work with people who want to break into tech, move into a different role or get past the things holding back their next step. We’ll work out what you’re aiming for, strengthen how you present your experience and build a plan you can follow. I can help you prepare; I can’t promise a job offer.

  • Goal assessment, profile review, and a personalised 90-day roadmap.
  • Application and interview coaching, including mocks and negotiation pointers.
  • Support through your first weeks in the new role.
